Interrogation Experts (2007)

I created these two badges as a response to an invitation to participate in the Enamel Experience: International Badge Exhibition. The works for this exhibition were inspired by the badges produced by the Metallwarenfabrik Carl Wild from 1901-1989, which are now part of the collection of the Museum der Arbeit (Museum of Work) in Hamburg, Germany. This collection includes military badges, decorative jewelry, organizational and work-related badges.

The traveling exhibition was organized By the Museum and The University of the West of England. Participating artists were from Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.

 The 2 badges I created for this exhibition adhered loosely to the forms of American military badges, which conveyed my opposition to the War in Iraq and all of the abuses of both human and civil rights perpetrated by the U.S. government.
